Red Maple (Acer rubrum)

This tree is located just along the waters edge of the pond to the left of Unity Pond. It's surroundings are always wet and muddy and you will need some boots to access this tree. This is one of my all time favorite trees. Since red being my favorite color, the red maple is known for its red autumn leaves and as well as its red leaf stalks. It is such a pretty tree in my opnion.
