B. WHAT IT'S FOR
Appearing on a Bronzeville Community Microgrid battery storage wall, the mural demarcates a piece of advanced energy infrastructure by celebrating the legacy of innovation in the Bronzeville Neighborhood. The “past meets future” look at cutting-edge decarbonization, electrification, and microgrid technologies invites reflection and engagement on climate change, a defining challenge for the next generation of innovators.
C. WHO MADE IT
ComEd joined forces with local artists Rahman Statik and Shawn Warren and institutions such as climate focused non-profit Before It’s Too Late, design school Little Black Pearl, Southside Community Art Center, and historic Gallery Guichard to create this mural.
