Information

  • Built in 1903​

  • Before the Japanese invasion ,the School House was turned into an emergency military hospital by the Hong Kong Government shortly ​

  • The troops were out of control and about 150-200 troops broke into the hospital (School House) and start the "St. Stephen's College Massacre"​

  • 56 British and Canadian soldiers who are still wounded in their beds were killed, as well as some medical and College staff.

  • During the Japanese occupation from 1941 to 1945, the College was turned into an Internment Camp.​

  • About one thousand internees were housed in St. Stephen's College.​

  • The School house is now use for the classroom and the student's quarters to resume its role in education and the assembly hall was reconstructed into a library​
