School of Pharmacy

The School of Pharmacy is located in the Health Sciences District, surrounded by Downtown, The Crossroads, Hyde Park and Crown Center. We share the campus with the other UMKC health professional schools and students, as well as various hospitals and clinics.

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) students train to become pharmacists that will go on to work in the clinical, community, business, academia and several other areas where the expert in medication is needed. The UMKC pharmacy programs are nationally recognized for community engagement and service learning and offer rewarding learning and career experiences in both urban and rural settings.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) students work with leading researchers to solve the world’s most pressing medically related problems and to create the next generation of medication and medication delivery systems to move healthcare forward.
