Oakland, California 94607, United States

Created By: Bay Area Mormon Studies Council

Information

By 1935, the chapel at Moss and Webster had become inadequate for stake functions, so Stake Conferences were held in the Scottish Rite Auditorium until the Inter-Stake Center was dedicated in 1960.

The Scottish Rite Temple was relatively new when the Oakland Stake began utilizing it -- it was opened in 1927. For more information on the history of the Scottish Rite Temple, see http://oaklandscottishrite.com/history/
