Hungry? Having walked around North Brentwood and learning about some of the great eateries of the past, it’s understandable. Happily you have a wonderful option right here at the corner of Wallace and Rhode Island. Or is it South Dakota Avenue in D.C.? Actually, it’s both.

Having started his (hugely) popular food truck most often found in the District on South Dakota Avenue, Cecil is in the process of opening up The African American Café in the parking area of his home here in North Brentwood, which will be another addition to this family-operated business.

With a menu heavy on crab cakes, fish, and shrimp, it’s going to be hard to pass up this stop!
