Solar Arrays

The eight tracking solar arrays located in the upper field produce between 39,000-50,000kWh annually. Two Activity Center arrays produce a total of 67,000-78,000kWh annually while arrays on the maintenance garage and shed produce about 40,000kWh per year. The entire Outdoor Center uses approximately 187,000 kWh of electricity per year, meaning 84 percent is offset by solar between the tracking and fixed roof solar arrays. The power produced by our solar panels is fed back into the power grid for distribution when production exceeds the Center’s immediate needs.
