The building of St. Andrew's Church began in 1891 when Bournemouth architect Sidney Tugwell teamed up with Julius Chatwin from Birmingham. Both the interior and exterior remain very similar, if not the same, as to when it was built with a rather conservative design.
The Church has always had a place in the community and often held events or groups. One, for example, was the autumn bazaar in 1979 where the church held stalls, games and treasure hunts for children of the community.
