The Standley Lake Nature Center is where you will begin your tour. While at the Nature Center, you can view numerous animal displays, historical photos, observation (honey bee) hives, and visit with our live animal ambassadors, Betty the bull snake, and Vern the box turtle!
Feel free to pick up a park map, rent an Adventure Back Pack (free), or speak with a Park Ranger about the various nature programs and activities offered at the park before heading out on your hike!
History - The Standley Lake Nature Center was built in 2000 after being awarded a $125,000 Local Governement Park and Outdoor Recreation Grant sponsered by Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO).
