It was built in 1937 and is the oldest post office in Hong Kong. Although it has only one floor and a small area, it is a time capsule of the postal history. Inside this post office, you can see the original hand-operated stamp vending machine and the cast iron mailbox with the mark of King George 6. The post office structure and internal buildings you see today already existed when it was first built in 1937. Every design in this post office is historically significant and has been carefully restored.
