The HSBC, an attractive and contemporary structure located within the square, is the fourth HSBC structure to occupy the location over a span of 150 years. It is a remarkable illustration of how feng shui and contemporary environmental characteristics have been incorporated in the modern Hong Kong, having been constructed by Lord Norman Foster in the early 1980s.
