Steenbock Memorial Library

Built in 1969
With space for 1,300 students and faculty, Steenbock Memorial Library is the primary library for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, School of Veterinary Medicine, School of Human Ecology, and Departments of Botany and Zoology. It is also home to the University of Wisconsin Archives and The Land Information and Computer Graphics Facility. Its namesake, Harry Steenbock, developed an inexpensive method of enriching foods with vitamin D. One conference room in the library features some of Steenbock’s original equipment and papers.
The Agriculture Library was located in the basement of Agricultural Hall before moving to Steenbock in 1969.
