Stone Lookout Tower in Eagle Point Park was designed and built in 1937 by the Works Progress Administration thanks to a grant from the government to beautify Eagle Point Park and Riverview Park received during the depression of 1933-34. The tower seems to have been inspired by the design of the Norman Fortresses of Europe. From the top of the tower, you have a panoramic view of the Mississippi River.
