Our walk departs from the gravel forestry road onto the pathway, where we come to stop 2 (A) which has the remains of a pre-bog wall emerging from the trees and running under the path. This rough line of large stones was likely constructed by stone-age farmers as they cleared the fields to create pasture for livestock. It is similar to the extensive stone walls found at the Céide Fields Neolithic complex situated several miles to the north..
