Description of the Location:

FGCU Student Health Services offers a variety of resources for students enrolled at FGCU. Student Health Services works to provide care for sick students, provide vaccines, and educate students on living healthy lifestyles[1]. FGCU’s Student Health Services are accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. When visiting Student Health Services, students can take advantage of many free services such as HIV testing, routine medical care, family planning advice and referrals to psychological services[2]. Students can also take advantage of services that are offered for a low cost, such as vaccinations, laboratory tests for many diseases and minor surgeries, including stitches.2 A full list of services is available by clicking here or on the “Student Health Services” Pamphlet.

Students can access the Student Health Services by going to garage two, and finding Health Services directly adjacent and behind the art and Music building [3]. Upon entering Student Health Services, there will be a set of friendly staff waiting to greet you at the check in desk, located directly in front of you, when entering through the only entrance.

To use Student Health Services, students must make an appointment. Students are able to make an appointment through the following phone numbers.3

Routine Appointments: (239) 590-7966

Immunization Appointments: (239) 590-1254

While some walk in appointments are available, these are not available on a regular basis. However, if you have an urgent need, Student Health Services will not refuse service[4].

On top of providing health care to students, Student Health Services provides a wealth of information about wellness and healthy lifestyles. Student can go to the wellness center and pick up pamphlets about common diseases, smoking, disease prevention and immunizations. These pamphlets can be found all over the waiting room, specifically over on the right wall when walking into Student Health Services. Student Health Services also provides condoms and Plan B pills.4
