#267 Capital T
Quilter Tama McLarin Tripp Tew
The Capital T pattern has many variations and has been around the quilting world for generations. This quilt, circa 1945, was entirely hand-made by Cynthia’s grandmother, Tama. It was made for Tama’s son Hardie Gibson Tew. Tama lost her husband and two young boys to Spinal Meningitis.
Table Rock Inn and Artisans’ Market has completely remodeled 6 rooms for guests. The old convenience store has been transformed into a venue for local artists and makers. It includes consignment items such as sculptures, whirly-gigs, soaps, candles, and honey. The shop has hiking related items, snacks, and drinks.
