This site is a former Central Police Station of Hong Kong, located at the eastern end of Hollywood Road. The oldest structure within the police station was built in 1864. In the past, it functioned as a police station, dormitory, and prison, and was used as the Headquarters of both the Hong Kong Island Regional Police and the Central District Police until the 2000s. In 2008, the Hong Kong Jockey Club cooperated with the government to promote the "Central Police Station Complex Revitalization Project", then was opened to the public in several stages starting from May of 2018.
