Tamarack
Pinaceae
Larix
Laricina
The Tamarack can be found in some of northeast United States and throuhgout most of Canada. Usually, Tamaracks can be found near bodies of water. The Tamarack shown in the these pictures can be found a long the same dirt road as the Common Chokecherry, except further down, closer to the swampy area that can found along the dirt road. The reason I picked it is because of its uniqueness. The Tamarack is one of the few species of coniferous trees that loses its needles just like a deciduous tree does.
