The 'Zoo'

Scotland PA15 1BQ, United Kingdom

Created By: Inverclyde Tourist Group

Above the entrance arch to the Town Hall Carriageway (image 1), notice a set of carvings.

These relief sculptures depict a 'zoo' of animals, some possibly inspired by Greenock's seafaring links with travel to foreign shores such as the parrot, monkey and turkey (image 2).

Continue by turning round and walking to the post box on the corner to Pin 7: William Street.

This point of interest is part of the tour: Greenock's Historic Quarter
