Above the entrance arch to the Town Hall Carriageway (image 1), notice a set of carvings.
These relief sculptures depict a 'zoo' of animals, some possibly inspired by Greenock's seafaring links with travel to foreign shores such as the parrot, monkey and turkey (image 2).
Continue by turning round and walking to the post box on the corner to Pin 7: William Street.
