Russell House was built in 1792 by Andrew Russell, a well-respected and influential man who served the citizens of Washington County, Virginia as Clerk of the Circuit Court for half a century (1791-1841). In 1876, new owner Samuel Honaker added a large wing to the east side of the building. Today, Russell House is home to Camella's, a quaint "Tea Parlor" and gift shop.
