Located at 2520 Pershing and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the St. Boniface building, a beautiful example of early 20th century Gothic architecture, served as a Roman Catholic parish for over 95 years. Steeped in the history of the north-end Lyons area of Clinton and located just blocks from the Mississippi River, the building now serves as the home of the Catholic Historical Center. The Center’s goal is to preserve the history of the Clinton area Catholic community, maintaining an extensive archive of local Catholic churches’ artifacts and genealogy records.
The Center is open on Tuesday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon, and by appointment by calling Tom Koester at 563-503-0349.
