a significant historical structure in Hong Kong. The current three-story granite and red brick structure was constructed in 1917 on the site of an earlier residence where Sir Henry Pottinger, the first governor of Hong Kong, lived from 1843 to 1846. The French Mission purchased the structure in 1915, and today, it is still frequently referred to by this name. It has had a number of owners throughout the years, including the Court of Final Appeal, the Russian consulate, and an American trading business.
