This building constructed for Michael and Elizabeth McFarland is virtually unchanged in appearance since its opening in June of 1854. This was one of the six busy hotels in town that often turned away travelers due to lack of space. The hotel has had many owners through the years but looks the same as it did in the days long ago when it was built.
