Revolution was an American post-apocalyptic science fiction television series. The show took place in the post-apocalyptic near-future of the year 2027, 15 years after the start of a worldwide, permanent electrical-power blackout in 2012. The show was filmed in and around Wilmington, North Carolina, with many of the scenes shot in historic downtown Burgaw.
