The Sanctuary is hosting several artists, including photographer Dan Duane, who has been working on a documentary of Hazleton. Beginning at 8PM Friday, it will also host The Art Of Fight: A Night Of Survival.

Dan Duane is a visual artist. He is very interested in the way that current widespread, rapid social and cultural change manifests itself in different parts of the US and how we cope with the issues it presents. Duane is focused on two areas in particular: New York City, where he grew up, and eastern Pennsylvania, where he has spent much of his time over the past twenty years. Duane's work has been exhibited at Fotofoto Gallery, Huntington, NY; Center for Fine Art Photography, Fort Collins, CO; Gaelen Art Galleries, West Orange, NJ; PhotoPlace Gallery, Middlebury, VT and Monmouth Museum, Lincroft, NJ, as well as at Columbia University and School of Visual Arts, NY, NY. He is presently completing an MFA thesis project at SVA, a documentary--video and stills--centered on Hazleton. His website: danduane.com
