The Texas School Book Depository, or now known as the Dallas County Administration Building that houses more than 6500 employees, was where assassinator Lee Harvey Oswald (who was an employee at the book depository at the time) hid when executing his successful assassination attempt on President John F. Kennedy. The 6th and 7th floor was empty for a very long time after that, until the 6th Floor Museum was created to highlight the impact of Kennedy's assassination on the nation and the world.
