The Stagecoach Inn - 201 W. Michigan Ave. / 269-781-3571
The next stop is the rustic Stage Coach Inn or as the locals refer to it "The Coach". It has seen many thirsty and hungry travlers throughout its existance. They offer a full bar, great bar food including favorites such as fried pickles, onion rings, fried cauliflower and fried mushrooms. Just make sure you order the ranch dressing...best ever!
Built in 1838, it stands directly on the famous Territorial Road. Following Indian trials from Detroit to Chicago. Today this is the oldest continuously operated Inn between Detroit and Chicago. The Stagecoach Inn has become one of the rare genuine early American places of historical interest in the Midwest.
