Thomas Wynne (1733-1782) was a member of Merion Meeting and fought in Revolutionary War for the rebel Americans. He served in the Pennsylvania "Flying Camp" and was taken prisoner by the British at the Battle of Fort Washington. Thomas spent time being held on a prison ship off of New York Harbor.
His great-grandfather was Thomas Wynne (1627-1692), who served as William Penn's physician.
Wynne's family tree includes John Cadwalader, Lambert Cadwalader, John Dickinson, Sally Wister.
