Built in 1856 as a warehouse for the grist mill, it also was used to collect tolls by David Locke who owned both structures. It was later used as a home by the Tom Prowse family. It was last owned by the Robert Hunter family. In the late 1970’s the mill property, mill house and property on the north side of the river was sold to the Army Corps of Engineers.
