Alferd Packer Grill (mention the funny story behind this)
During the height of the Colorado Gold Rush in the 1870s, Alferd G. Packer teamed up with a gold-seeking group from Utah, promising to lead them to their fortune through the San Juan mountains. The group lost contact with all surrounding mining communities shortly into their trip, and two months later Packer emerged alive—and alone—from the wilderness. He was tried and convicted as a cannibal and remains one of Colorado’s most notorious criminals to this day.
