The foundation stone of United Services Institute was laid 27 Oct 1905 by Rear Adm. J Dunford, it s best known as Just Nuisance's first home in Simon's Town.
The window on the right hand side with the emblem over the top used to be a doorway and it is here that Just Nuisance liked to stretch out and enjoy the sun or have a nap. Transferred to the SA Navy in 1957. In 1994 it was Naval base Sports Office. and is still in use as office accommodation by SA Navy.
