Wallaroos can live in groups of up to 30 individuals on the northern coasts of Australia. Though not as large or tall as their red and gray kangaroo relatives, the wallaroo is more muscular. Their tail serves as a rudder and provides balance to steer while leaping across the Outback. The Wallaroo’s tail also works like a tripod helps them balance when standing on their hind toes to fight or look around.
