The Washington Hotel, also known as the Barnes Hotel, was operated by Mrs. Josephine Barnes. It was well known throughout the gold county for the fine food she served. The original Washington Hotel fell victim to a fire. The current building is a replica constructed by Ed and Doris LeDonne on the original site.
