Welcome to Temple Square!
This area has a lot to do with the history of Utah. Think back to the Utah class you had and what you learned about the Mormons. This location is significant to those Christians who settled the Utah area.
Temple Square attracts 3 to 5 million people every year, which is almost as much tourism as Utah's five National Parks attract combined.
This visitor's center is home to an 11-foot statue of Jesus Christ, a replica of one of Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen's works. Go inside and go up the circular staircase to take a look at the statue.
At this point, you can feel free to visit the rest of the tour in any order. Walk around temple square and see what you discover! There are many missionaries around that are willing to answer questions you might have.
