This Arts and Crafts-style house, ca 1918, was home to Laura Maria Edwards, a member of a creative group of entertainers and filmmakers, including the cinema-chain owner Henry Hayward, filmmaker Rudall Hayward and dancer Bettina Edwards. This English Cottage, nick-named the Wendy Cottage, incorporates rough-cast walls, a steep slate roof and multi-paned windows.
Continue along Hinemoa Street and then turn right along Awanui Street.
