Named after its benefactor, Willard Straight, Class of 1901, who donated money to the university under the stipulation that it not be used for any academic or administrative purpose, Willard Straight Hall was one of the first student unions in the country. The building is home to three dining facilities, a ceramics studio, movie theater, and multipurpose room. The dean of students, in charge of the more than 800 student-run clubs and organization, also has an office here.
