3451 McBean Street
This handsome house owned by William H. Butler, was both residence and store. The store was in the front of the house under the street-facing gable, and Butler ran a tannery in the rear. He also made shoes and boots. The house, now covered in grey stucco, was originally covered in brick. It also had a cupola on the horizontal section of the roof. The main entrance to the family’s quarters was on the verandah. The house was later used as both office and home by dentist, Dr. F.F. Kemp and later by physician Dr. FitzGerald.
