On this site stood the Wolcott Building. Built in 1937 at the cost of $250,000 it was one of the first buildings in Kansas to have air conditioning. Having 7 stories in all, the ground floor had businesses while the rest of the building had offices that could be rented for as little as $24 a month. In 1988 the building was demolished and the existing Polaris Park was expanded and renamed DCI Park.
