Tour Information

This walk is a loop starting at the 2nd tallest building in the city of Assens- the Sugar Chimney!. The imposing yellow brick building harks back to the days when it was a thriving sugar factory. The walk enters the natural park peninsular and traces the coastline with panoramic views over the Little Belt. The beaches end at the harbour mouth where great views of the city and the passing boat traffic can be taken. Walk through the marina and gaze at the old lighthouse on the way back to the start.

The old lighthouse has stood guard for approaching ships to the harbour since 1900. In 1975 the harbour entrance was adjusted and new signals were erected.
