Uptown is a place of history, growth and discovery. It's the name given to encompass the Eden Terrace, Grafton and Newton areas. Change is happening here; it’s undeniable. The new Maungawhau Station is due to open in 2025 and will continue to transform Uptown into one of the most connected places in Auckland. Take a walk around the neighbourhood to learn about Uptown’s past, present and future. On the walk you’ll see historic buildings, transport development and the boom of beautiful new apartments. You’ll also discover some of Uptown’s best kept secrets such as Basque Park, and the many businesses that make Uptown a special destination. Come take a walk around Uptown to have a peek at the future. It’s very bright!
