The shelter capacity is 75. Shelter has fireplace and electricity. Park offers pit type restrooms, a playground, hiking trails and pond fishing. It is reservable online. ...
The pond is home to a number of plants and animals.  If you take your time walking along the path, you might catch sight of some of them.
Turtles can be seen sunning themselves on logs in the water when the weather is right (sunny but not too warm).

Black rat snakes have also been spotted sunning themselves next to the pond, or even taking a swim.
Great Blue Herons visit the pond in the spring and summer.  Here is one perched in an old snag.
Leaves of three, let them be. Look but don't touch.
This bench is a lovely, shady spot to take a break from your hike and observe the natural life around the pond.
This is a popular spot to look for turtles, fish, and even beaver.  Keep your eyes peeled to see what you can find. Watch the video about fish stocking in this pond.
