Tour Information

Religion, and specifically sites of worship, are intertwined with the history of this Great Lakes region, and this tour will highlight some prominent areas that were made holy by what was built, or is being created, on these plots of land. The World Religion Paradigm, according to Christopher Cotter and David Robinson is, "a particular way of thinking about religions which organizes them into a set of discrete traditions with a supposedly 'global' import." It typically consists of the "Big Five" religions: Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism." This religious driving tour will take you along the Niagara river, highlighting expansions in religious worship throughout the region that have made a lasting impact on the lanscape of this area.
