Join us for a virtual tour of the Hoxie House in historic Sandwich Village. The earliest known owner is Reverand John Smith thought the house could date to as early as 1635. The house is named after Captain Hoxie, whaling captian in the mid 1800's. This home, now operating as a museum, is a first period early saltbox colonial and is restored to the period with many interesting features such as gun stock posts, pumpkin pine Maine beams, an enormous hearth and wide plank floors. It sits overlooking beautiful Shawme Pond.
