Tour Information

This is a short nature walk make sure to where shorts depending on the weather I would not reccomend wearing shorts during the winter but there is no brush to walk through I would recomend a pair of sneakers or hiking boots.

What You'll See on the Tour

This tree can be found on the right side of the lane comming up to my 130 acres  I use this tree alot to make black dye for my traps and the nut make a good snack.  
This tree can be found on the side of the small hill behind the bee hive on my 130 acre farm. This tree always caught my eye because of the fuzzy flower head and the fact that I use these flower heads in my black walnut dye for traps.   ...
can be found at the cross road below the barn. i can also use the husk for black dye.
This tree can be found in the inter section below the barn  this tree hold no value to mealthough it dose a good job at holding the small stream bank together.
located below the barn on if you keep straight on the way down from the barn  I collect the fruit from this tree to sell to people to buy them.
smaller red maple located along side the bank.  one of the first maples I ever learned to identify
right side of the pond  would not recomend eating!
can be found all over the hill side on the right.  I dont have any reason why I should add this small tree ecxept the fact that the flowers are really fasinating 
small cluster of blue spruce produce a small spot for thermal cover for animals in the winter 
produces a mast that the squirrels and turkey enjoy   
This oak is essntial for the wild life on my land beacuse I deam it the sweetest tasting acorn I have tried so the wild life must go for it first.
one unique plant that i have harvested and made some really nice walking sticks out of.
produses a small fruit that turkeys really enjoy along with racoons can be found on the left side of the path.
along with black cherry provides food or the wild life and the fruit has more meat on it and is sweeter than black cherry.
A bigger acorn than the white oak also more bitter tasting  found on the left side of path
planted in the middle of the field  produced for the first time this year 2020  fruit are really sweet but numb your mouth when eaten 
found on the edge of the forest produces small berries located on the left side of the woods
This tree produces every year, found on the left side of the woods  this tree was struck by lightning in 2016 and is still living
the flowers on this tree in the sprinh are absolutely beautiful  found on the right and left side of the road 
also known as iorn wood this very hard wood can even make sparks on a chainsaw while cutting it
