Art Walk Rowan Walking Tour

Morehead, Kentucky 40351, United States

Created By: Morehead KY Tourism

Tour Information

Be sure to stop by the Morehead Visitor Center, located at 150 East First Street, inside the former train depot, for a walking tour guide and to possibly catch a tour in action.

Our tour features our museums and galleries including the Kentucky Folk Art Center and Rowan County Arts Center. Both are located inside historic buildings from our community's rich history. Studio artists, exhibits and gift shops are featured in these unique buildings.

Hear stories of how each location came to be. While on your walk, enjoy the shops and eateries along the way.

The sculptures featured in the concourse on the university campus come to life and tell the story of training teachers and artists.

We plan to bring more locations to life through this wonderful tour. For now, five stops while allow you plenty of time to appreciate how art is alive in Morehead and Rowan County
