Tour Information

Tewksbury, Massachusetts is a great place to visit or live! Home of the Tewksbury State Hospital built in 1854 as the Massachusetts State Almshouse, there is much to love about the town.

The Patten Greenhouses were here and Tewksbury was known as the Carnation Capital of the World! The Power of Flowers group makes their home here and ensures the legacy of flowers continues.

What You'll See on the Tour

The Tewksbury State Hospital built in 1854 as the Massachusetts State Almshouse offers tours of the grounds and the Public Health Museum located in the old administration building.

Built in 1891 in an Italian Villa style, the band stand is a great place to rest and people watch on the Town Common.
Presently used as apartments, the structure was built in 1806 in the 18th century Colonial style.  
Built in 1920 in the Modern Federal style, the Tewksbury Town Hall was the former home of the Tewksbury Public Library.  
This home is the former Brown Tavern built in 1740 in the 18th century Colonial style.  The porch was an addition to the originl structure.
