Tryon International Equestrian Center

Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) at tryon Resort is one of the world's premier equestrian lifestyle and competition destinations. Conveniently and centrally located between Charlotte and Asheville in North Carolina and Greenville and Spartanburg in South Carolina, the venue provides outstanding facilities for Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, and Eventing disciplines and will soon accommodate all eight FEI equestrian disciplines.

With onsite shops, restaurants, lodging, entertainment and plans for more, non-equestrian visitors are equally marveled by the Tryon Resort experience. This new facility opened in June 2014 with sanctioned horse shows and initial supporting amenities, and now boasts 7 barns, 11 rings, 1,200 permanent stalls and over 40 weeks of equestrian competition.

Supporting amenitities include Cleghorn Golf & Sports Club, Cleghorn Gun Club and The Lodge on Lake Lure. Future expansion includes additional hotels, condos and apartments, mixed-use retail, visitor center, water park and fitness center.
