Tour Information

The beautiful city of Vancouver is a municipality that is exquisitely built in diversity and multiculturalism. Everyday, we are surrounded by innumerous amounts of cultural livelihood and linguistic influence. As we venture about our busy everyday lives, many of these influences go unnoticed. Our hope is that through this tour, you will be able to experience a new sense of appreciation for the linguistic diversity that exists in this city. For some, this may be an immersive experience to re-dive into what you’ve always known but have not had a chance to discover. For others, this may be an educational learning experience where you will be able to replenish your knowledge of Vancouver’s contemporary multicultural identity. As you embark on a journey through the chosen sites, take the time to reflect on them and the land they reside on. While this tour will highlight artistic and cultural significance, it will also reveal critical aspects that require you to contemplate the cost to which these sites have taken to become what they are today. We encourage you to educate yourself and others and to truly engage in all forms of knowledge, whether verbal, oral or written, and to see all the assets that build and strengthen the community. Whether you are walking through Vancouver in-person or virtually, we hope that you will be able to recognize, appreciate, and understand the significance of language as a vessel that binds a city together.
