"Old Stage Coach Stop"/First and Last Tavern (Charles Horner Property), 1337 Main Avenue; c. 1848.The building is an example of indigenous construction for its locality and historic period. It formerly was a tavern and is said to have been a stage coach stop. The cellar of the building is of local limestone. It is set into a low hillside and exposed on the street side. The two-story superstructure is of frame construction with recent asbestos siding. The roof is gabled and there is a shed-roofed addition attached on the west. The building is now vacant.
