Known as the Tyson House, this residential building was built in 1854 and was designed by Permelia Sower. The building shares many of the Italianate characteristics found in the Trail Mansion across the street. Offices were added to the house in 1910 and the back half of the house was converted to apartments in 1922. The Italianate building features brick construction, a par enroulement (or rams head) pediment, a prominent cornice with brackets, a low pitched/flat hipped roof, double arched windows on the second story, and square windows on the first floor. The facade of the house boasts a fenced garden in the front flanking an elevated entryway.
